Substance Abuse

Services: Provides substance abuse evaluation and outpatient treatment for women, supportive counseling, psycho-educational groups and classes, job placement assistance and employability skills training; home repair and weatherization for elderly home owners; and programs for pre-adolescent and adolescent girls. Each program strives to assist clients to achieve or maintain self-sufficiency.

DACCO–Women’s Outpatient Services

Location: 7402 N. 56th St. Bldg. 700, Tampa, FL 33617
Hours: M-F 8:00-5:00. Evening hours are available.
Services: Provides substance abuse treatment during which clients attend sessions 5 days a week from 8:30-1:30 for approximately 6-8 months. During intervention stage which determines treatment readiness, clients meet Monday to Friday, 4.5 hours per day with a minimum of 2 counseling groups per day of 1to 1 ½ hours for a minimum of 4 weeks (20 TX days). Random drug screens are performed and client must remain clean. When client completes intervention treatment, she then moves through phases of treatment . Call for more information.

Tampa Crossroads–Rose Manor

Hours: Residential Program
Services: Primary focus: A mix of mental health and substance abuse services. Rose Manor provides residential, long-term treatment (more than 30 days). It is an 18-bed program, located in Tampa Heights. Most of the women have been sentenced to the program as an alternative to incarceration. This program is a licensed substance abuse treatment program and the average length of stay is 6 months followed by six months of aftercare. The treatment program focuses on issues specific to female offenders and is qualified to serve as a DCF monitored visitation site for residents seeking to regain custody of their children.

Narcotics Anonymous

Hours: Call for current hours and events.
Services: Offers fellowship and support for people with a drug problem. Anybody who desires to stop using drugs is eligible to attend meetings. The program provides access to another addict for emotional support.
